Voluntary :: Tree Recycling

Members of the Sierra Foundation volunteered at Christmas Tree Recycling campaign (by Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful ) and helped to direct traffic and unloaded trees at Rancho San Rafael Park.

By recycling your Christmas trees you save landfill space, contribute to cleaner air, and create mulch for area parks and open space projects. For over ten years Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful has collected Christmas trees at three different locations: Bartley Ranch Park, located at 6000 Bartley Ranch Rd. (off of Lakeside Dr.), Rancho San Rafael Park located at 1502 Washington St., (drop-off location off of the Colman St. enterance), and Shadow Mountain Sports Complex located at 3300 Sparks Blvd. Volunteers are needed to direct traffic and help unload trees.
